Cold pressed Coconut oil is oil which has been produced with the use of a low heat or no heat technique.
If heat is introduced to the process of making oil it will degrade the flavour, nutritional value, and colour of the oil.
Heat, however, increases the yield. For this reason, cold pressed oil tends to be more expensive, although it is also of higher quality.
Other oils that can be cold pressed are flaxseed oil, sesame oil, sunflower oil, etc.
